About this page
This page is the data-deletion mechanism for both the metabus.ca website AND the MAS Inc. Marketing App on Meta (App ID 2075552696327071). When Meta sends a Data Deletion Callback for a user of the App, we use the same workflow described below to locate the corresponding records across our systems, delete them, and confirm deletion to Meta within Meta's published timeline.
First: which brand did you interact with?
Metabus operates a multi-tenant marketing platform. Where to send your request depends on whose marketing surface you engaged with:
- You interacted with metabus.ca directly (submitted a form on metabus.ca, booked a call with Metabus, or responded to a Metabus-branded ad selling Metabus services). Send your request to Metabus using the steps below.
- You interacted with a client-brand campaign running on the Metabus platform (a Cebucan lead form, a BuildGravity ad, a Confluence AI form, or another tenant brand). The client brand is the controller of your data. Send your deletion request directly to that brand using the contact information on their website. Metabus will action the platform-side deletion when the client confirms.
Request deletion for metabus.ca interactions
-
Send an email to jason@metabus.ca with the subject line Data Deletion Request.
-
In the email, include the personal identifiers we can use to find your records:
- The email address you submitted on any of our forms;
- The phone number you submitted (if any);
- Your name and company (if any);
- If you are requesting deletion of data tied to a Facebook or Instagram lead form interaction with the Metabus brand specifically, the Facebook or Instagram username or page you interacted with.
-
We may need to confirm your identity before processing the request (for example by asking you to reply from the email address on file). This is to prevent unauthorized deletion of someone else's data.
What happens after you submit
- We aim to acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
- We aim to complete deletion or full anonymization within 30 days, in line with PIPEDA, GDPR, and CCPA. Where the request is complex, requires identity verification beyond a simple email confirmation, involves data held by multiple sub-processors, or arrives during a period of operational backlog, we may extend the timeline by up to an additional 60 days as permitted by PIPEDA s.8(3), GDPR Article 12(3), and equivalent provisions. We will notify you of any extension in writing with the reason and the new expected completion date.
- We confirm completion by email.
- Where we are required by law to retain certain records (for example accounting or audit records of a commercial transaction), we will tell you what we retained, why, and when it will be deleted.
Data shared with third parties
When you ask us to delete your data we forward the request to the third parties listed in our Privacy Policy with whom we shared your data. Their deletion timelines are governed by their own privacy policies and operational windows, which we do not control. Meta and Google in particular operate their own retention schedules that may extend beyond our 30-day target; we forward the request promptly and they complete it on their own SLA. We cannot guarantee a specific completion date for third-party-held data; we can only guarantee that the request was forwarded.
Children
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 16 has provided personal information to us or to a client-brand campaign running on the Metabus platform, contact us immediately at jason@metabus.ca and we will delete it at no cost and notify the relevant client brand.
Complaints
If we have not addressed your request to your satisfaction, you may also contact your local data protection authority. In Canada the relevant authority is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
